Latest News from Mcraes - July 2010
McRaes have had a reasonable start to 2010 that has seen the successful completion of several large projects e.g. Sanford’s refit on the F/V San Nanumea, GBC Industrial Maintenance Shutdown, NZ Refining Company Industrial Shutdown and the overhaul of Gen3 at Northpower’s local Hydro Power Station.
Currently underway is the overhaul of Gen4 at Northpower’s local Hydro Power Station and a major refit on the Purse Seiner “Cape Finisterre” plus ongoing work on the Navy’s Inshore and Offshore Patrol vessels.
Product wise our Rotzler range of Hydraulic Winches has been well received, with sales climbing as market exposure to this high quality product increases.
Sales of Eaton, Vickers products and Aeroquip Hose & Fittings continue to feature and an increased range of oil filters is soon to be introduced.
Hydraulic Industries, our Aeroquip Hose & Fittings division has provided McRaes with true “one stop” engineering, marine and hydraulic supply & service facilities.
With the two divisions, we now offer full turnkey hydraulic services from design, supply, manufacture and installation of components to installation and commissioning of all pipe/tube work in steel or stainless steel for all industrial, marine and mobile plant applications.
Hydraulic systems maintenance and trouble shooting has also received a boost with the acquisition of a data logger for system fault finding and a particle counter to allow inhouse sampling of oil alleviating often costly time delays.
The recent acquisition of a CNC Centre Lather, CNC Press and NC Guillotine further enhanced our general manufacturing and repair facilities and added value through improved consistency, cost and time frames.
McRaes’, Engineering & Hydraulic Industries Divisions both offer a 24/7 call out facility with a combination of Hydraulic Hose and Hydraulic & Marine Service vans on hand able to provide Northland wide coverage.
With the weather taking on a definite winter tone and the year rapidly disappearing, Christmas is now “just” around the corner and I would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to all our customers, suppliers and staff for their loyalty in supporting McRaes & Hydraulic Industries and we look forward to working with you for the remainder of 2010 and beyond
