McRaes 30 & 50 Mile Tuna Longline Reels have been designed & manufactured to provide simple,
safe operation and low maintenance.

Manufactured in steel the heavy duty construction is complimented by a zinc primed and epoxy paint finish to give a long durable life in tough marine conditions.

The Level Wind is a fairlead roller design that layers the monofilament backbone smoothly onto the reel and is machined from marine grade aluminium & stainless steel.

A stainless steel tube guard is mounted in front of the level wind scroll and additional guards provide for protection over the Level Wind Pulleys and Motor Coupling.

A radial piston or optional geroller hydraulic motor (30 Mile only) is direct coupled to the drum shaft and mounted to a cushioned torque arm to provide accurate alignment and assist with smooth stop/starts.
